DASPA is a new program designed specifically to expand access for patients while offering community pharmacies a path to reimbursement for diabetes management. CMS only acknowledges programs that are accredited. Accredited pharmacies are eligible to bill Part B for DSME/T services. The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), a CMS-approved diabetes education accrediting organization, has teamed with NCPA to bring you the DASPA program. DASPA is a two part program, one part online and one part live, designed to introduce pharmacists to the AADE accreditation process and demonstrate how to establish and manage the business aspects of a successful program.
As a member of the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), NCPA is committed to uniform accreditation standards for the compounding profession. Click here for more information.
The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians helps ensure that a minimum knowledge base or competency is possessed by pharmacy technicians who assist pharmacists in the preparation of prescriptions. The ExCPT is nationally recognized by the National Community Pharmacists Association and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores as a psychometrically sound pharmacy technician certification exam. Technicians can prepare for ExCPT while gaining experience with The National Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
